After 5 is a small-business studio. Websites, logos, SEO, Shopify, graphics, domains — built after the day job ends. No twelve-person agency. No retainer you cannot see.
This is the welcome doc. Read it once. Keep the link. When something comes up later, this is still the answer.
The path
Four steps. Then you own it.

The brief
Tell us what you sell and what is in the way. A current site, a domain that will not move, a mark that no longer fits — send the real version.

The plan
We scope before we quote. You get a path (new site, transfer, or Shopify), a timeline, and a flat number in writing. That is the price.

The build
Design, write, ship. Most sites take 2 to 4 weeks from kickoff. Cards, graphics, and transfers move faster. You see it before the neighborhood does.

The handoff
You own it. Files, logins, hosting. Nothing locked behind a subscription. We stay on for SEO, graphics, and the next card if you want us.
From you
What we need to start
The business, in writing
Name, hours, address, services or menu, prices, and the story you tell in person. We can write from that. We cannot invent your shop.
Assets you already have
Logo files (SVG if you have it), photos, colors, the current site. No logo yet? That is its own job — say so up front.
Access
Domain registrar, old hosting, booking or Shopify if we are connecting it. We keep email and payments online while anything moves.
One decision-maker
You, not a committee. Fast answers keep the nights moving. We will not wait three weeks for a font vote.

Promised in writing
The quote is the price
We name a flat number before we start, and it does not grow. New work gets a new number first. No surprise invoices.
You own the work
When it is done, you own the site, the files, and the logins. We do not hold anything hostage.
We work after 5
Evenings and weekends. You will hear back within 24 to 48 hours — usually faster. We do not disappear. We also do not do 24/7 Slack or same-day turnarounds.
Paid work has its own agreement
This page is how we operate. A signed agreement and statement of work govern the project. Site terms do not replace that.
Your business stays yours
We do not share your brief, files, or numbers with anyone. Every client is confidential.
